Baldwin Co. bus driver jailed on DUI charges

A Baldwin County bus driver was jailed on DUI and reckless endangerment charges for allegedly driving drunk with 25 students on her bus, WKRG News 5 reported.

Vickie Lynn Patrick, 58, was arrested after Baldwin County deputies responded to a parking lot near Highway 90 and Browns Landing Road around 4 p.m. on what appeared to be a mechanical problem with the bus, deputies told WKRG.

Deputies said Patrick appeared intoxicated smelled like “an alcoholic beverage.” Officials said she refused to take a field sobriety test but appeared “extremely disoriented and could barely stand or answer questions,” WKRG reported.
